Tapkara Gets a New Identity: CM Sai Inaugurates Tehsil Office, Announces Nagar Panchayat Status
Raipur, 28 June 2025 – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the office of the Tehsildar and Executive Magistrate in Tapkara, Jashpur district, today. It may be recalled that on January 14, during his visit to Jashpur, the Chief Minister had announced the formation of a full-fledged tehsil in Tapkara. This development will benefit farmers, students, and residents of 33 surrounding villages.
On this occasion, CM Sai also announced that Tapkara will be granted the status of a Nagar Panchayat (urban local body), sanctioned ₹50 lakh for the beautification of the sports stadium in Tapkara, and announced the construction of a rest house in Farsabahar.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is rapidly implementing ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ on all fronts of development. In the very first cabinet meeting, the government approved 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, ₹1,000 per month is being provided to 70 lakh women to empower them. To increase the income of tendu leaf collectors, the support price has been raised to ₹5,500 per standard bag. Atal Digital Seva Kendras are being established to provide banking services at the village level, with plans to launch them in all gram panchayats on the upcoming Panchayat Day.
He added that, for the convenience of the public, 10 innovative reforms have been introduced in the property registration system, making it more transparent, simple, digital, and citizen-centric.
During the program, Collector Shri Rohit Vyas shared that the new tehsil office will greatly benefit farmers, landowners, students, and citizens. He also mentioned that the link court of SDM Farsabahar will begin operations from the upcoming Monday.
MLA Smt. Gomti Sai, in her address, stated that under the leadership of CM Vishnu Deo Sai, development work is progressing rapidly in the state, and the government is working with full commitment and dedication for the welfare of the common people.
The event was also attended by District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, Municipal Vice President Shri Yash Pratap Singh Judev, Shri Bharat Sai, Shri Rohit Sai, IG Shri Deepak Kumar Jha, Superintendent of Police Shri Shashi Mohan Singh, Tapkara Sarpanch Smt. Savita Jaiswal, along with several public representatives, officials, employees, and a large number of villagers.
