Youth from Remote Villages of Bijapur Visit State Capital for the First Time, Share Thoughts with CM

Raipur, 20 June 2025 –“With willpower, compassion, and inclusive policies, we have initiated a new era of transformation in Bastar. The self-confidence of Bastar’s youth is our true inspiration, and together we will shape a new Bastar,” said Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during a heartfelt interaction with 96 young men and women from remote and Naxal-affected villages of Bijapur district (Niyad and Nella Nar gram panchayats), who visited the capital city Raipur for the first time.

Welcoming the youth, the Chief Minister said, “This journey is a memorable one, and I hope it leaves a lasting impression on your hearts.” He emphasized that the state government is opening new avenues for peace and development in Naxal-affected areas through initiatives like the ‘Niyad Nella Nar’ scheme. “You are the future of Chhattisgarh, and with your active participation, we will take both Bastar and the state forward.”

He stated that the scheme has transformed the face of villages and provided youth with self-reliance and dignified livelihoods. He assured them that the government is working continuously to establish peace in their regions and that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has resolved to root out Naxalism completely by March 2026. “Maoists do not want development in your region, but we will overcome all obstacles in the path of progress. The spirit and courage of Bastar give us the energy to eliminate this evil from its roots.”

Speaking about the natural beauty of Bastar, the Chief Minister said, “Your region is blessed with dense forests, beautiful waterfalls, and tall hills. The land is fertile and supports good farming. Our government is working to provide water for agriculture and to make farming more prosperous.” He encouraged students to focus on their studies and youth to support agriculture, stating that their contribution is essential for the state’s progress.

He also mentioned cultural events like the ‘Bastar Olympics’ and ‘Bastar Pandum’, calling them true reflections of Bastar’s soul. “Participation of thousands of youths, women, and children in these events has shown the world that Bastar is moving into a new era.” He affirmed the government’s commitment to preserving Bastar’s art, culture, and heritage. “The people of Bastar have shown they want peace, not violence. Bastar has always symbolized bravery, patience, and pride, and now we will lead it toward prosperity and development.”

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s resolve to provide every youth with new opportunities through various schemes, skill training, education, and sports. He urged the youth to join the mainstream, become agents of social change, and help build a strong, safe, and prosperous Bastar.
