23 Naxals with Bounty Worth ₹1.18 Crore Surrender in Sukma; 1,521 Have Given Up Arms in the Last 15 Months
CM Vishnu Deo Sai: “No more sounds of gunfire—only the voice of development now echoes”
Raipur, July 12, 2025 – Winds of change are sweeping through the remote regions of Chhattisgarh. Bastar is transforming—guns are falling silent, and the light of democracy is reaching every corner. In this spirit of change, 23 Naxalites with a collective bounty of ₹1.18 crore surrendered today in Sukma district. With this, a total of 45 Naxals have laid down arms in the past 24 hours, choosing the path of peace and rejoining the democratic mainstream.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai responded to this significant development through social media platform X, stating that this is more than just a surrender—it is a symbol of the growing trust the people have placed in the government, thanks to people-centric initiatives like “Niyad Nella Nar”. “Now, the sounds of bullets have been replaced by the voice of development,” he remarked.
CM Sai highlighted that in the past 15 months alone, 1,521 Naxalites have surrendered—a clear indication of the expanding reach and trust in the government in Naxal-affected areas. He credited the success to the state government’s “New Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025,” which not only ensures social dignity for those who surrender but also provides them with opportunities for rehabilitation and livelihood.
He added that this transformation is a living example of the good governance vision under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh will be completely free from Naxalism within the set timeframe, and every citizen in the Bastar region will soon be part of the mainstream of development.
