Chhattisgarh Achieves New Milestone in Education: New Education Policy Brings Transformation, Local Language Education Now Available
Chief Minister Felicitates Talented Students at PSY Excellence Award Ceremony

Raipur, July 12, 2025 // Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai today honored meritorious students from various fields and high-performing schools during the PSY Excellence Award Ceremony held at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur.
Extending congratulations and best wishes to the awarded teachers, students, and institutions, the Chief Minister stated that education is not merely a means to obtain a degree, but a pathway to serve society and the nation. Without education, life remains incomplete, and it forms the foundation for a nation’s progress. He emphasized that education is the key to success in any field.

Mr. Sai noted that Chhattisgarh has now entered its Silver Jubilee year and has made remarkable progress in education over the past years. While the state had only one medical college earlier, it now boasts over 15 medical colleges. Moreover, prestigious national institutions like IIT, NIT, IIM, and AIIMS are also operating in the state. Schools have been opened in every village, and colleges have been established according to the needs of the students.
He recalled how in his childhood, there used to be just one school for children in many villages, and he had to take his 5th-grade board exams in another village due to the absence of an exam center in his own. “Today, countless opportunities exist for students in Chhattisgarh, and every child should take full advantage of these opportunities to move toward their goals,” he said.
The Chief Minister highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the country is steadily moving toward the goal of a ‘Developed India.’ With the same resolve, Chhattisgarh is also progressing rapidly in that direction. Over the past 11 years, the country has gained global recognition, and India is once again on the path to becoming a Vishwaguru (world leader).
He said the state government is continuously working to implement the New Education Policy effectively at the grassroots level. Introduced nationally in 2020, the policy has enabled education in local languages in Chhattisgarh. In regions like Bastar, teaching is now being conducted in local dialects, and even medical education is being provided in Hindi.
Raipur MP Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal congratulated the meritorious students and said that these children will play a crucial role in making India a developed nation by 2047. He emphasized that youth will be instrumental in re-establishing India as a global leader.
MLA Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, addressing the gathering, said that the purpose of the organization is not only to honor talented students but also to provide a platform for achievers in various fields. He added that significant steps have been initiated under the new education policy to enable students to become proficient in multiple languages and praised the positive changes taking place in Chhattisgarh’s education sector.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also honored artists who excelled in different fields. Senior painter Mr. Raj Saini presented a special gift to the Chief Minister — a painting depicting Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai with Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna late Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The event was attended by PSY President Dr. S.K. Mishra, Advisor Mr. Mahendra Gupta, CEO Mrs. Shubhra Shukla, along with several intellectuals, educators, dignitaries, and school students.
