
CM Sai’s Vision: Accelerating Digital Transformation for a Developed Chhattisgarh by 2047
Raipur, 3 July 2025 – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that electronics and information technology will play a vital role in achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047 (Developed India 2047) and Viksit Chhattisgarh 2047, ensuring seamless, swift, and transparent governance.
While chairing a detailed review meeting of the Electronics and Information Technology Department at the Mahanadi Bhawan today, the Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the installation of new mobile towers and the laying of fiber optic networks, particularly in remote regions like Bastar and Surguja. A phased plan has been set to install more than 5,000 mobile towers across the state within a defined timeframe.
He announced that the number of online services under the e-District 2.0 platform would be expanded from the current 85 to include 250 more services, converting offline services into digital formats. “If people can avail themselves of government schemes online from their homes, it will save both time and the costs of visiting government offices,” he noted. He also stressed the need to upgrade the State Data Centre to Tier-3 standards.

Principal Secretary Smt. Niharika Barik presented the department’s significant achievements over the past year. She informed that the long-pending tender process for the Data Centre upgrade has been completed, the Khanij 2.0 portal has gone live, the Wi-Fi Secretariat Scheme and e-District portal have been successfully launched, and the BharatNet Phase-2 proposal has been submitted to the Government of India. Additionally, a dashboard for the Atal Monitoring Portal has been developed, displaying KPIs for 100 schemes from 19 departments.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of Electronics & IT Smt. Niharika Barik Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat, CHiPS CEO Shri Prabhat Malik, and other senior departmental officials.
