Raipur, June 21, 2025 – Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai laid the foundation stone for a 250-seater Nalanda Complex at Saliyatoli village in Kunkuri, Jashpur district. The project will be developed at a cost of ₹4.37 crore. Extending his best wishes to the youth, the Chief Minister emphasized the state government’s commitment to ensuring quality education in every district. To achieve this, Nalanda campuses are being established in all district headquarters. Two such campuses are being developed in Jashpur district.
The Nalanda Complex will be equipped with state-of-the-art libraries, learning resources, and modern technological facilities. It will remain open 24×7 to ensure uninterrupted study for students.
Chief Minister Sai also highlighted efforts toward transparent governance, mentioning that services of all departments are being brought online through an e-office system. In the revenue sector, 10 innovative reforms have been introduced, making processes like land registry and mutation easier and more accessible for the public.
Focusing on student welfare, the CM informed that cases of corruption in competitive exams such as the PSC are being investigated by the CBI. Additionally, several educational institutions are planned for Jashpur district, including a medical college, agriculture college, horticulture institute, nursing, naturopathy, and physiotherapy colleges.
Nalanda Complex: A Modern Hub Dedicated to 24×7 Learning
Modeled after major metropolitan centers, the Nalanda Complex will offer study facilities around the clock, seven days a week. It will feature indoor and outdoor study zones, including a nature-integrated “Oxy Reading Zone” to connect learners with the environment.
Built on an autonomous and eco-friendly model, the complex will run on solar power, minimizing electricity consumption. Over 50 native plant species will be planted as part of its green initiative. To support holistic development, amenities such as a Youth Tower, sports courts, cafeteria, ATM, and health zone will also be included.
The library will house over 50,000 books, a digital library, a Wi-Fi zone, and resources for competitive exam preparation. Entry will be managed via RFID-based systems, with biometric ID access, book tracking using RFID, and a software-based book management system.
