A New Initiative by the State Government to Make Education a Public Campaign
Raipur, 13 June 2025 – The new academic session in Chhattisgarh will commence from June 16, 2025. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai has written to all public representatives in the state, appealing for their active participation in the upcoming “Shala Pravesh Utsav” (School Admission Festival). This campaign aims to strengthen the education sector and ensure 100% enrollment of children in schools across the state.
In his letter, the Chief Minister stated that achieving 100% literacy in the state is indeed a challenging goal, but not an impossible one. He emphasized that to turn the “impossible into possible,” every section of society must come together and make sincere efforts. The foremost step, he said, is to ensure that no child is left out of school and that all children are enrolled on time.
The Chief Minister also highlighted that the Right to Education Act is in effect in the state, and under the National Education Policy 2020, the aim is to gradually reduce the school dropout rate to zero by Class 12. Identifying and eliminating educational barriers is a shared responsibility of all stakeholders.
Chief Minister’s Education Quality Campaign: A Concrete Step
Mr. Sai informed that the state government is launching the “Chief Minister’s Education Quality Campaign”, which focuses on improving academic standards in government schools. The government has undertaken rationalization of teachers and schools, ensuring priority posting of teachers in teacher-less and single-teacher schools, so that every child can exercise their right to education.
Infrastructure Development a Top Priority
The Chief Minister clarified that developing infrastructure and basic facilities in the school education sector is among the government’s top priorities. He urged public representatives to take part personally in the School Admission Festival in their respective areas and ensure that no child is left out of the school system.
A Better Future Through Social Participation
The Chief Minister remarked, “We created it, we will shape it”, calling on everyone to work together with a results-oriented approach to realize this vision. He expressed hope that all public representatives would lead this campaign, fulfill their social responsibilities, and play a significant role in making Chhattisgarh an educated, empowered, and self-reliant state.
Make the School Admission Festival a Mass Movement
The Chief Minister’s letter is being viewed as the beginning of a public movement for education in the state. This initiative is expected to not only increase school enrollment but also improve the quality of education and strengthen community participation. The state government hopes that through this effort, Chhattisgarh will set a new benchmark in the field of education and accelerate social and economic empowerment through learning.
