Deo Sai today attended the oath-taking and felicitation ceremony of Shri Srinivas Maddi, the newly appointed Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Beverages Corporation. The event was held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur, where the Chief Minister extended his best wishes to Mr. Maddi for his new responsibilities.
Addressing the gathering, CM Sai highlighted Mr. Maddi’s long-standing social involvement and extensive experience in holding various positions. He expressed confidence that Mr. Maddi’s experience would contribute significantly to strengthening the operations of the State Beverages Corporation. The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is bringing transparency to administrative work through several innovative measures.
CM Sai reiterated his government’s commitment to establishing peace and promoting development in the Bastar region. He said efforts are being accelerated not only in eliminating Naxalism but also in boosting infrastructure and tourism in Bastar, to create new self-employment opportunities for the local population. He mentioned the launch of a scheme to provide two high-yielding cows to tribal families, which is expected to enhance milk production and increase income for farmers and livestock owners.
During his recent visit to Delhi, CM Sai had key discussions with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah regarding the state’s development. He shared that meaningful discussions were held with the Prime Minister on irrigation projects in Bastar and the ambitious Indravati-Mahanadi interlinking initiative. He described these projects as decisive steps toward both the development of Bastar and the realization of a prosperous Chhattisgarh.
Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh also addressed the gathering, stating that Mr. Srinivas Maddi’s vast experience in social work will surely benefit the Beverages Corporation. He recalled Mr. Maddi’s earlier tenure as Chairman of the Forest Development Corporation, where he performed commendably. Dr. Singh extended his congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Maddi.
Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Deo also spoke at the event and conveyed his greetings.
The program was attended by Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma, MPs Smt.
