Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah today met with the officers who played a crucial role in the recent anti-Naxal operations and congratulated them for the historic success of these operations during a meeting held in New Delhi.

The Home Minister said – I am eager to meet the brave personnel who made these operations successful with their courage. I will soon visit Chhattisgarh to meet them.

The Modi government is committed to freeing India from the scourge of Naxalism.

Raipur, June 7, 2025 – Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah today met with the officers who played a key role in the recent anti-Naxal operations and congratulated them for the historic success of these missions. He reiterated that the Modi government is determined to rid India of the menace of Naxalism. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma were also present on the occasion.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Union Home Minister said, “Met with the officers who played a significant role in the recent operations against Naxalism and congratulated them for the historic success. I am also eager to meet the brave soldiers who made these missions successful with their valor and will soon visit Chhattisgarh to meet them. The Modi government is committed to freeing India from the curse of Naxalism.

”It is noteworthy that anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh are being carried out under the guidance of the Union Home and Cooperation Minister. Between May 18 and May 21, 2025, the Chhattisgarh Police — including DRG forces from the districts of Narayanpur, Dantewada, Kondagaon, and Bijapur — conducted a major operation in the interior areas of Abujhmad. On May 21, in an encounter in the forests of village Boter, 27 Naxalites were killed, including the CPI (Maoist) General Secretary and Politburo member Baswaraju alias Gaganna.
