Strict Surveillance by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board; Police Legal Action Underway in Cheating Case
Raipur, 13 July 2025 —
A serious case of cheating has come to light during the Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) Recruitment Examination conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam), Raipur.
At Examination Center No. 1309 — Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sarkanda, Bilaspur (C.G.), candidate Roll No. 13091014, Ms. Annu Surya (Father: Kaleshwar Ram), was caught under suspicious circumstances in Room No. 07. Upon swift action and search by the invigilators, she was found to be using hidden electronic devices — including a concealed camera in her undergarments and a micro-speaker in her ear. These devices were immediately confiscated.
Outside the exam center, another individual, Ms. Anuradha Bai, who was allegedly assisting in the cheating attempt, was found in possession of a walkie-talkie, tablet, Bluetooth device, and mobile phone. This clearly indicates a coordinated attempt to cheat using electronic means.
As per the rules, a case of malpractice was immediately documented and sent to the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (Vyapam). Additionally, Sarkanda Police Station was informed, and an FIR was registered, with legal action initiated against those involved.
The Professional Examination Board and district administration have taken the matter very seriously. A “zero tolerance policy” is being strictly enforced to ensure the fairness and transparency of the examination process. Stern action will continue to be taken against any future instances of malpractice.
