The Chief Minister stated that the well-planned development of Nava Raipur is a top priority of the government. Keeping future needs in mind, the development of Nava Raipur will be carried out in a strategic manner. He emphasized that Nava Raipur is one of the most modern and beautiful capital cities in the country, hosting top institutions such as IIM, IIIT, and the National Law University. As the population grows in the coming years, it is essential to expand civic amenities accordingly.
The Chief Minister also discussed expanding railway connectivity in the Nava Raipur region and issued necessary instructions. He referred to the new Paralkasa–Kharsia railway line being constructed by the Government of India, which will pass through Balodabazar district, and expressed the intention to link this line to Nava Raipur. This, he said, would enhance rail services and benefit the general public.
Mr. Sai further emphasized the need for a logistics hub in Atal Nagar Nava Raipur in connection with the Visakhapatnam Expressway being built under the Bharatmala Project to boost development and promote import-export operations. Officials reported that about 95% of the expressway passing through Chhattisgarh has been completed. Once operational, it will reduce the distance between Raipur and Visakhapatnam by 100 km.
He added that the state’s new industrial policy is attracting large numbers of investors, which will create employment opportunities for the youth.
The Chief Minister reviewed the plantation and growth status of various trees—such as Peepal, Banyan, Karanj, Neem, Ashoka, Amaltas, and Gulmohar—under the Oxyzone development initiative in Nava Raipur.
Officials also informed that there are plans to develop a Commission-Bidding Complex for future use by state commissions, boards, and corporations. Additional proposals include a Working Women’s Hostel, a 100-bed hospital, and the establishment of a new police station in Nava Raipur.
