CM holds heartfelt interaction with youth from Sukma on educational exposure visit
Smiles light up faces of youth from Naxal-affected regions after meeting the CM
Raipur, 30 June 2025 – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met with a group of youth from Sukma district today at the Mahanadi Bhawan Secretariat during their educational exposure visit. Welcoming them warmly to the capital, the Chief Minister inquired about their well-being and encouraged them to study diligently and aim high, assuring them that the Chhattisgarh government stands firmly with them. The visit brought visible joy to the youth hailing from Naxal-affected areas. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma was also present on the occasion.
CM Sai held an open and heartfelt discussion with the visiting youth. He remarked that Naxalites are anti-development and deliberately obstruct efforts to provide basic amenities like water, electricity, roads, and schools to the people of Bastar. He reaffirmed that the government’s priority is the development of Bastar and expressed confidence that Naxalism in the region will soon come to an end.
The Chief Minister showed genuine interest in the youth, who had traveled from remote areas of the state, asking how they felt upon arriving in Raipur. Many responded that it was their first visit to the capital and even to Jagdalpur during the tour. They expressed excitement about seeing new places and learning new things. The visit to the Secretariat and understanding how the administration functions was a valuable experience, the youth shared. The CM encouraged them to make the most of this tour and enrich themselves through it.
Chief Minister Sai paid special attention to discussing the education of the Sukma youth. Young people of various age groups shared that they are currently studying in classes 10, 12, or college. The informal and approachable demeanor of the Chief Minister encouraged the youth to speak freely. One student mentioned that he is in the second year of B.Sc., while another stood up to share that he is in the final year of B.A. CM Sai appreciated their interest in education and motivated them to keep studying hard and progressing in life.
Notably, this educational exposure tour has been organized under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Motivation Scheme through the Neiyad Nellanar Program for youth from the Bastar division. As part of this initiative, 95 youth from Sukma — including 77 boys and 18 girls — are on a two-day visit to Raipur.
