Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, a cabinet meeting was held today at Mahanadi Bhawan, Mantralaya, where several important decisions were made

  1. Expansion of Krishak Unnati Yojana for Farmers:

The Cabinet has made a significant decision in favor of farmers. The scope of the Krishak Unnati Yojana has been expanded by amending existing guidelines.
Now, starting from Kharif 2025, not only paddy growers but also farmers who switch to pulses, oilseeds, and maize instead of paddy (as registered in Kharif 2024 and sold at MSP) will be eligible for input assistance under this scheme.


  1. Chhattisgarh Pension Fund Bill – 2025 Approved:

To better manage pension-related financial liabilities of government employees upon retirement, the Cabinet approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh Pension Fund Bill – 2025 for the creation and regulation of a dedicated pension fund.


  1. Chhattisgarh Growth and Stability Fund Bill – 2025:

To ensure long-term economic growth and fiscal stability, the Cabinet approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh Growth and Stability Fund Bill – 2025.
This fund will help the state manage sudden revenue fluctuations and provide financial security during periods of economic slowdown.


  1. Approval of Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy – 2025:

To boost the logistics sector comprehensively, the Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy – 2025 has been approved.
Key objectives:

Develop Chhattisgarh as a logistics hub.

Strengthen export infrastructure.

Attract national and multinational logistics and e-commerce companies to invest.

Increase the state’s storage capacity, reducing costs for industries, traders, and farmers.

Promote Dry Ports/ICDs, helping MSMEs and local producers access export markets.

Encourage export of forest produce and herbal products by developing a suitable ecosystem.

Generate new employment opportunities for youth and make the state a leader in logistics and exports.


  1. Approval of Chhattisgarh Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill – 2025:

To decriminalize certain provisions in existing state laws, the Cabinet approved the draft of the Jan Vishwas Bill – 2025.
The goal is to:

Make doing business and living easier.

Reduce unnecessary court cases and related expenses.


  1. Approval of 7 Redevelopment Projects:

The Cabinet approved seven redevelopment projects under the plan to utilize unused government land and dilapidated buildings from various departments, corporations, boards, and companies.

Kailash Nagar, Rajnandgaon

Chandni Chowk Phase-2, Jagdalpur

Civil Lines, Kanker

Club Para, Mahasamund

Katghora, Korba


  1. Relaxation in Promotion Criteria in Registration Department:

For the Commercial Tax (Registration) Department, the Cabinet approved a one-time relaxation in the required service period for promotion from Senior Registration Clerk/Record Keeper to Third-Class Executive Sub-Registrar, reducing the minimum service requirement from 5 years to 2 years.
