Raipur, June 6, 2025 – Block Education Officer (BEO) of Jagdalpur, Mr. Mansingh Bhardwaj, has been suspended with immediate effect for serious negligence during the ongoing rationalization process in Bastar district. The action was taken by Acting Collector Mr. Prateek Jain with the approval of Bastar Division Commissioner Mr. Doman Singh.
According to the issued order, Mr. Bhardwaj submitted flawed and misleading information at various levels to the district-level committee for rationalization from the Jagdalpur development block. For instance, at the Government Higher Secondary School in Nagarnar, a junior teacher was shown as senior and a senior teacher as junior. Additionally, in the case of Vivekananda Higher Secondary School (Hindi Medium), SEZ, Jagdalpur, incorrect cadre-related data was submitted, showing a school belonging to the “E” cadre under both “T” and “E” cadres with vacant positions in both.
Moreover, discrepancies were found in the information related to teacher seniority, sanctioned posts, and vacancies. Mr. Bhardwaj’s actions were not only against the directives of the state government but also in violation of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services Conduct Rules, 1965 and Civil Services Classification, Control, and Appeal Rules, 1966. Based on these serious lapses, he has been suspended under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services rules with immediate effect.
During the suspension period, his headquarters will be the office of the District Education Officer, Jagdalpur, and he will be entitled to subsistence allowance as per rules. The order is effective immediately.
