Raipur, 06 June 2025 – A fresh wave of hope has swept over the small village of Taroud in Balod district, which was once grappling with a severe shortage of teachers. Where previously a lone teacher managed the entire school, the recent appointment of four subject-specialist teachers has created a buzz of excitement in the village. This initiative by the Chhattisgarh Government has infused new energy into the pursuit of education among students, parents, and the entire community.

The Government High School in Taroud, with around 60 students, had been suffering from a lack of adequate teaching staff for the past two years. The burden of teaching all subjects fell on one teacher, disrupting the quality of education and deeply worrying parents about their children’s future. However, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the state’s rationalization initiative has become a beacon of hope.

Rationalization is a systematic process aimed at addressing the unequal distribution of teachers and resources by deploying qualified teachers to schools that need them the most. As a result of this program, four new teachers specializing in different subjects have now been posted to the Taroud High School. This will ensure that every subject is taught regularly and with high quality.

The villagers’ sentiments are echoed in the words of Sarpanch Dharmendra Kumar Ramteke, who shared:”Earlier, the education system at the school was not in good shape. The Village Education Committee often had to call upon local youth to help with teaching. Now, the government has improved the education system by appointing four new teachers. We are grateful to the Chief Minister for this support.”

Maheshwari Thakur, chairperson of the Village Education Committee, added,”Education is the right of every child, and the government has restored this right. We no longer have to worry about who will teach our children.”

The students, too, are thrilled with the news. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to study have visibly increased. Having a dedicated teacher for each subject feels like a gift to them. Inspired by this change, the children now dream of becoming doctors, engineers, teachers, or officers.

Taroud has now become more than just a village—it stands as a symbol of educational reform in Chhattisgarh. The rationalization initiative under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is being implemented across schools in the district. The government’s clear goal is to ensure that every school has teachers and no child is deprived of education.

When the light of education reaches remote villages, its impact goes beyond textbooks—it transforms society. The transformation of Taroud is the result of positive vision and well-planned action. This new dawn of education in Chhattisgarh is undoubtedly a step toward statewide progress.
