Grand Banjara Mahakumbh to be Held in Raipur on April 8
Raipur, April 8, 2025: Under the banner of the All India Banjara Seva Sangh, a grand Banjara Mahakumbh will be organized to mark World Banjara Day 2025 at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Science College, Raipur.
The event aims to celebrate the unity, integrity, sovereignty, and social harmony of the Banjara Nayak community.Distinguished members from Chhattisgarh and across the nation are expected to attend the gathering. The highlight of the program will be traditional Banjara cultural performances including Ladi, Bhaag, Danda and Banjara folk songs and dance that showcase the rich heritage of the community.During the event, the All India Banjara Seva Sangh, Chhattisgarh unit, will honor distinguished social workers with the titles of “Chhattisgarh Banjara Ratna” and “Chhattisgarh Banjara Padma Bhushan” for their outstanding contributions to society.
Additionally, newly elected representatives from the recent three-tier Panchayat elections including Panchs, Up-Sarpanchs, Sarpanchs, Janpad and Zila Panchayat Members, as well as municipal councilors, mayors, and presidents, will be felicitated with mementos and certificates of appreciation.The event will also feature the election of the State President and Executive Committee of the Chhattisgarh unit of the All India Banjara Seva Sangh.
