Favorable Environment for Agriculture and Industry in Chhattisgarh: Youth Should Utilize Their Potential in Career Building – Chief Minister

CM Encourages Young Entrepreneurs from Dantewada During Interaction; 50 Youths from Dantewada Undergoing Training at IIM

Raipur, 9 June 2025 – Chhattisgarh is richly endowed with natural resources like minerals and forests. As a result, there is immense potential for growth in agriculture as well as in industries and other sectors. What’s required now is the proper utilization of our existing capabilities to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state and the nation.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this while addressing budding entrepreneurs from Dantewada at the IIM campus in Nava Raipur. It is noteworthy that 50 youths from Dantewada district are currently undergoing entrepreneurship training at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM). The Chief Minister wished them a bright future, stating that this training would prove instrumental in shaping their careers and improving their lives.

CM Sai emphasized that when a young entrepreneur realizes their dreams, they open doors of inspiration and opportunity for many others. “It is a matter of great pride that all of you are from the Bastar region and are progressing in the field of entrepreneurship. Bastar is now seen as a land full of opportunities,” he said. He urged the youths to apply what they’ve learned during training and begin their ventures, assuring full support from the government.

He further stated that along with agriculture, Chhattisgarh has a favorable environment for industrial development. In line with this, the state government is promoting innovation, research, and entrepreneurship for the overall development of the state. To accelerate industrial growth, the new Industrial Policy 2024–30 has been launched with the motto “Minimum Governance, Maximum Incentives.” Under this policy, the ‘Single Window 2.0’ system has been implemented to simplify the industrial setup process and provide all necessary clearances easily.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Bastar and Surguja — considered backward regions — have been designated as high-investment incentive zones to ensure their rapid development. Special subsidies are also available for setting up industries in Bastar under this new policy. A detailed roadmap for Bastar’s development has been prepared, covering key sectors like agriculture, forest produce-based businesses, and tourism. Improved connectivity in the region now enables entrepreneurs to access national markets easily. The expanding road network is further boosting development.

The young entrepreneurs were visibly enthusiastic during their interaction with the CM and shared their experiences. Among those present were Mr. Chandrakumar Sahu from Bade Bacheli, Mr. Abhishek Gupta from Kirandul-Bailadila, Mr. Aniruddh Kumar from Bacheli, Mr. Tejasv Kumar and Mr. Neelam Pandey from Bijapur, Ms. Shilpa Kumari from Bacheli, and Mr. Rakesh Yadav from Dantewada — along with 50 young entrepreneurs in total.
