Talent from Bundelkhand’s Kitchen Becomes a National Identity; Zahida Parveen Crowned Winner

Jhansi, May 11, 2025:The aroma of traditional spices wafting through the lanes of Bundelkhand once again made a mark across the country, thanks to the culinary showcase of Bundeli Chef Season 2. Organized by Bundelkhand’s prominent digital media platform Bundelkhand 24×7, the grand finale of this culinary competition took place on Sunday, May 11, in the historic city of Jhansi.

More than just cooking, the event became a celebration of regional heritage as participants brought Bundelkhand’s culinary culture to life on their plates.Zahida Parveen from Jhansi stole the spotlight and emerged as the winner of Bundeli Chef Season 2 with her simple yet confident presentation of traditional dishes. Rashmi Thakur was declared the first runner-up, and Poonam Rayakwar secured the second runner-up position. All three winners were felicitated with trophies, silver anklets, and an array of attractive gifts. The remaining finalists also received certificates and gifts in recognition of their efforts.The competition, which began with 88 contestants, culminated with five finalists showcasing their culinary skills in the final round. The finalists included Zahida Parveen, Poonam Rayakwar, and Sakshi Srivastava from Jhansi; Ruchi Jain from Lalitpur; and Rashmi Thakur from Sagar. Each contestant proved that the kitchen is not just a space of tradition but also one of identity.The finale brought a surprise challenge when renowned film star Sushmita Mukherjee asked the finalists to prepare Aloo Parathas and Gulab Jamuns within two hours. The task was not just about taste, but also presentation and creativity. The participants went all out, impressing the judges with both flavor and beautifully decorated tables.
