Earned Leave or Summer Vacation: Ultimatum Till May 8

Raipur. A delegation from the Coordinators’ Association today submitted a crucial memorandum to the District Education Officer (DEO), demanding that coordinators engaged in academic and administrative work during the summer vacation be granted earned leave. The coordinators argue that even during their scheduled vacation, they diligently carry out departmental duties such as training, planning, monitoring, and administrative tasks, but receive no additional benefits or earned leave in return.

Vikram Rai, the state president of the association, stated that this situation is not only unfair but also negatively impacts employee morale.Association media spokesperson Raju Tandon said that this demand has been pending for several years, while in other departments, employees in similar circumstances are granted earned leave. The association has warned that if no decision is taken by May 7, they will boycott work starting May 8 and may launch a phased protest.
