Approval Granted to Chhattisgarh Logistics Policy 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raipur, 01 July 2025 \u2013 The Cabinet led by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has approved the Chhattisgarh Logistics Policy 2025. Under this new policy, the state government will offer grants of up to \u20b9140 crore along with several other incentives to encourage private investment in the logistics sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Grants of up to 40% of infrastructure costs\u2014capped at \u20b9140 crore\u2014will be provided for the development of logistics hubs, dry ports, inland container depots, air cargo terminals, and Gati Shakti cargo terminals. Additionally, investors will receive a 50% grant for external infrastructure and other concessions. For transport hubs or freight stations, a 35% grant will be available, with a maximum limit of \u20b95 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The state aims to transform Chhattisgarh into a major logistics hub in India, offering cost-effective and modern storage facilities to industries, traders, and farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Strategically located in central India, Chhattisgarh is well-positioned for logistics operations. Leveraging this advantage, the state government now seeks to attract investments from logistics and e-commerce companies. The policy is expected to enhance storage capacity, reduce logistics costs, and boost trade and economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under this policy, the development of dry ports, container depots, and air cargo terminals will help local industries and producers access export markets. It will also open up new export avenues for forest resources, minor forest produce, and medicinal plants. Furthermore, the initiative is set to generate new employment opportunities for youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For setting up warehouses and cold storage units, capital investment subsidies of 35% to 45%, interest subsidies of 50% to 60%, and concessions on electricity charges and stamp duty have been provisioned. Similarly, logistics parks will be eligible for grants up to \u20b925 lakh per acre and 50% support for external infrastructure. Additional incentives of 10% will be given in regions like Bastar and Sarguja. An extra 5% subsidy will be available for adopting green logistics practices. Special incentives will be provided for projects with investments over \u20b9500 crore or those creating more than 1,000 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The core objectives of the policy include reducing logistics costs, developing modern multimodal infrastructure, strengthening export facilities, and increasing private investment in the logistics sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Previously, logistics received support under the state’s industrial policy. However, aligning with the Government of India\u2019s LEADS survey, Chhattisgarh has now launched an independent logistics policy\u2014placing itself among the leading states in the country.
