Raipur, 14 June 2025 \u2013 <\/strong>Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the 14th Foundation Day celebration of Dainik Navpradesh today. Addressing the seminar on the theme \u201cEmerging Chhattisgarh on the National Scene\u201d, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is continuously progressing. In 2014, India was ranked 10th globally in terms of economy. Today, it has reached the 4th position and is moving rapidly towards becoming the 3rd largest economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He mentioned that with the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047, a Vision Document and a New Industrial Policy have been prepared for a developed Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM Sai extended warm greetings on the 14th anniversary of Navpradesh. He said that as Chhattisgarh celebrates its silver jubilee, he feels honored to have witnessed the historic debate on the formation of the state in Parliament as an MP. Coming from a tribal background, he has personally witnessed the problems of hunger. The Public Distribution System (PDS) introduced in 2003 under Dr. Raman Singh\u2019s leadership helped eliminate hunger in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted that 15 medical colleges are currently operating in Chhattisgarh, along with prestigious institutions like IIT, IIM, and the National Law University. The state has seen significant growth in prosperity, and education and healthcare services are now reaching the general public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister said that the new industrial policy has received positive responses from entrepreneurs, with investment proposals worth \u20b96.5 lakh crore. Work has already begun in sectors like semiconductor chips and artificial intelligence. The energy sector has also attracted massive investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that while the government is providing government jobs to the youth, there is also a strong focus on private sector employment through skill development. The new industrial policy includes a bespoke policy, which is a key initiative for job creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further informed that the state\u2019s irrigated area is continuously expanding. During his recent visit to Delhi, he discussed the Bodhghat Project with Prime Minister Modi, which will benefit farmers in the Bastar region with adequate irrigation. Additionally, work has begun on the interlinking project of Indravati and Mahanadi rivers, which will increase irrigated land to 7 lakh hectares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBastar is now part of the mainstream of development. Where once the sound of bullets echoed, today the school bells ring,\u201d he said. The region of Dhoomarash has even received international recognition from the United Nations in the tourism sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh stated that in the past 25 years, Chhattisgarh has proven that development depends not on area or population, but on effective utilization of resources and strong willpower. The state\u2019s financial health has improved significantly. Steel from Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh was used in the recently inaugurated Chenab Bridge by the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that Chhattisgarh is now a leading state in sectors like steel, cement, and energy, with notable advancements in power infrastructure. Under Chief Minister Sai’s leadership, paddy is being procured at \u20b93,100 per quintal, and under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, \u20b91,000 monthly assistance is being provided to 70 lakh women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, distinguished personalities who made significant contributions to society were honored. Awardees included Padma Shri Shrimati Shamshad Begum, Cartoon Watch editor Mr. Trayambak Sharma, sports journalist Mr. Nitesh Chhabra, senior journalists Mr. Jeevan S. Sahu (Gariaband) and Mr. Yashwant Rajwade (Navpradesh Bureau Chief, Korea).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scholarships were also awarded to children from hawker families under the Navpradesh Scholarship Scheme 2025\u201326.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Padma Shri senior journalist Mr. Alok Mehta extended his congratulations to Navpradesh via video message. Editor Mr. Yashwant Dhote delivered the vote of thanks at the end of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
