High-Level Review of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department Held at Mantralaya<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raipur, 10 June 2025 \u2013<\/strong> Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai today conducted a high-level review meeting of the Department of Tribal Development, Scheduled Caste Development, Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare at the Mahanadi Bhawan Secretariat. On this occasion, he launched a new portal for hostel-ashram management and initiated the first installment of \u20b985 crore as online transfer for scholarship and meal assistance for ashram hostels for the academic session 2025\u201326 (July to September).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister reaffirmed the state government’s deep commitment to reaching every individual from Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and tribal communities through welfare schemes. He stated that the objective is to uplift their standard of living, ensure self-reliance, and integrate them into the mainstream of development. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritizing tribal welfare, highlighting central government schemes focused on education, health, employment, and housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM Sai directed the effective implementation of flagship schemes like PM Janman and Dharti Aba, emphasizing the timely and high-quality completion of approved housing and road works. He also instructed officials to continue organizing camps under PM Janman to facilitate the issuance of Aadhaar, Ayushman cards, ration cards, and caste certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the review of ashram hostels, the Chief Minister instructed the construction of fully equipped hostels wherever needed. He stressed the need to ensure basic facilities such as toilets, beds, drinking water, and sanitation. Any negligence found during inspections will result in strict action. He also called for a real-time monitoring system to ensure uniformity in the services provided to children in hostels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He reviewed the sports complexes operated by the department and expressed satisfaction over students’ achievements in various sports. The government will upgrade facilities in all 20 sports complexes across the state to help nurture talent and enable athletes to excel in events like Khelo India and other national and international competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding Prayas Residential Schools, the CM emphasized the recruitment of highly qualified trainers and instructed officials to prepare students for competitive exams including engineering, medical, CLAT, and CUET.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also instructed that the construction of approved and ongoing buildings under the Tribal Development Department be completed within deadlines, and well-equipped buildings be constructed for institutions currently without infrastructure. He asked for the Central Region Development Authority and Scheduled Caste Development Authority meetings to be convened soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reviewing tribal culture and heritage initiatives, the CM discussed the construction of Devgudis and development of Akharas. He directed that religious sites be equipped with proper lighting, seating, sheds, and clean drinking water facilities under Akhara development works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM Sai also reviewed the Tribal Youth Hostel in New Delhi, run by the state government. He suggested consulting newly selected All India Services officers to guide aspiring civil service candidates, helping them align their strategies with the current examination landscape. He expressed confidence that more youth from the state would secure top positions and contribute to Chhattisgarh\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A comprehensive review of other schemes like Eklavya Residential Schools, CM Higher Education Scholarship Scheme, Tribal Multipurpose Marketing Centers, and Forest Rights Certificates was also conducted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Progress Reviewed on Tribal Freedom Fighters\u2019 Museum in Nava Raipur<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Mr. Sai also reviewed the construction of the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum in Nava Raipur. He assessed the structure, quality of construction, and proposed content, providing necessary directives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the museum will be a tribute to the heroic sons of Chhattisgarh, showcasing major uprisings like the Paralkot Rebellion, Sonakhan Rebellion, and Bhumkal Rebellion. It will also vividly present the contributions of key tribal freedom fighters from the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The museum will serve as a lasting source of inspiration for future generations,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are proud of Chhattisgarh\u2019s historical role in the freedom struggle. The museum will present these stories in an engaging and educational manner using modern audio-visual techniques.\u201d He instructed that construction be completed within the stipulated timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principal Secretary Mr. Sonmoni Bora gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on departmental activities, achievements, and new initiatives.
