Announcement to rename Gaushalas in the state as \u2018Gaudham\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Raipur, 7 June 2025 \u2013 <\/strong>Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Kabir Jayanti festival and the concluding program of the Gau Gram Jan Jagrana Yatra held at Sonpari village in Abhanpur development block today. He extended his greetings on the occasion of Kabir Jayanti to the assembled public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced a grant of \u20b920 lakh for the construction of a Gurukul building, the renaming of gaushalas (cow shelters) across the state as \u2018Gaudham\u2019, and the construction of a boundary wall at the Sonpari school. He also performed the bhoomipujan (foundation stone laying ceremony) for the construction of a community hall, a drainage system from Bhutahi Para to the Ashram, and a CC road from the main Sonpari-Khilora road to the Ashram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister said that the land of Chhattisgarh is blessed to be deeply influenced by the teachings of Kabir Saheb. Saint Kabir always preached compassion towards living beings. The values and culture of the state have been significantly shaped not only by Kabirpanthi followers but also by those whose lives were deeply influenced by Kabir Saheb\u2019s pure words. He emphasized that Kabir Saheb dedicated his entire life to public awakening, continuously guiding society in the right direction through his teachings. In his couplets, Kabir promoted awareness and believed that life is extremely precious and must be meaningfully utilized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address, Chief Minister Sai highlighted the continued relevance of Kabir\u2019s humanistic philosophy in today\u2019s era and stressed the importance of cow service (gau seva) and social unity. He congratulated the representatives of gaushalas participating in the awareness rally and called the initiative highly meaningful. He added that land is being identified for the establishment of a cow sanctuary (gau abhayaranya).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, Speaker of the Assembly Dr. Raman Singh said that Chhattisgarh is known as a leading state in the country in rice production, steel, cement, aluminum, electricity, and coal supply. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, Chhattisgarh will soon be counted among the top states of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabinet Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary said that saints like Kabir and Tulsidas have shown society a new direction. No matter how much economic progress we make, it is the saintly traditions that provide moral guidance and values to society. He said that Kabir\u2019s ideas have given society a new direction and remain equally relevant in today\u2019s materialistic age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kabirpanthi Jagatguru Shri Asang Dev Ji shed light on the significance of Kabir Saheb\u2019s teachings. The event was attended by Union Minister of State Mr. Tokhan Sahu, Cow Service Commission Chairman Mr. Bisesar Patel, Abhanpur MLA Mr. Indrakumar Sahu, MLA Mr. Kiran Dev, and several other dignitaries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
