During his visit, he inspected the soak pit being constructed under the Mor Gaon, Mor Pani (My Village, My Water) campaign by the Jal Sanchayan Vahini (Water Conservation Task Force). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/publiccg.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1003450315-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1153\" srcset=\"https:\/\/publiccg.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1003450315-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/publiccg.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1003450315-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/publiccg.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1003450315-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/publiccg.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1003450315-310x205.jpg 310w, https:\/\/publiccg.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1003450315.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister personally joined the ongoing construction work, laying bricks in the soak pit.Praising the work of the Jal Sanchayan Vahini, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of such initiatives to address the looming water crisis. \u201cEfforts like these are essential to tackle water scarcity,\u201d he said.Lalita Dhruv, a member of the Jal Sanchayan Vahini, informed that under the Mor Gaon, Mor Pani campaign, 10 soak pits have already been built near tube wells in Baldakchhar. The campaign also includes cleaning of ponds, awareness rallies, wall writings, and sensitizing people about water harvesting systems.It is noteworthy that the Mor Gaon, Mor Pani campaign was launched by the Chief Minister on April 24, 2025, marking Panchayati Raj Day. So far, in Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara district, 2,500 soak pits have been constructed near tube wells across 519 gram panchayats, and around 1,291 ponds have been cleaned. At the village level, Gram Jal Evam Swachhata Samiti (Village Water and Sanitation Committees) are holding meetings to propose rainwater harvesting structures and physically verify existing ones.
