Raipur, April 18, 2025:Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited (CGMSC), Mr. Deepak Mhaskey, at the auditorium of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College in Raipur. Extending his best wishes from the dais, the Chief Minister congratulated Mr. Mhaskey on assuming office. During the event, CM Sai and other dignitaries also unveiled the CGMSC Supply Chain Management SOP.Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai stated that CGMSC was established in 2010 during the tenure of then Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh. Since its inception, the Corporation has played a significant role in ensuring quality, transparency, and timely availability of essential medicines and medical equipment in the state’s healthcare services. He emphasized that CGMSC has grown beyond a supply agency to become a pillar in strengthening the state’s health infrastructure.The Chief Minister expressed his delight upon learning that Mr. Mhaskey was previously a chemistry teacher, noting that his academic background would bring a scientific perspective to CGMSC\u2019s operations under his leadership, ultimately benefiting the people of Chhattisgarh. He added that the state is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year, and since its formation in 2000, Chhattisgarh’s healthcare sector has seen continuous improvement. Institutions like AIIMS and the establishment of 13 medical colleges stand as proof of the state government\u2019s commitment to healthcare.CM Sai highlighted that health is the greatest wealth of any citizen. In line with this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s Ayushman Bharat scheme has provided free treatment to millions of underprivileged families across the country. In Chhattisgarh too, lakhs of families are benefiting from the scheme. He said that with an energetic and proactive Health Minister and a capable leader like Mr. Mhaskey heading the Corporation, CGMSC is sure to play a major role in delivering quality healthcare services to the citizens of the state.Concluding his speech, the Chief Minister conveyed his best wishes to Mr. Mhaskey, expressing confidence that his tenure will make the healthcare system in Chhattisgarh more efficient, transparent, and people-centric.Speaker of the Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, recalled that CGMSC was formed in 2010 with the aim of ensuring the timely availability of generic medicines, surgical supplies, medical equipment, and strengthening the basic healthcare infrastructure. Dr. Singh praised Mr. Mhaskey as a capable, honest, visionary, and competent individual and expressed confidence that he would succeed in delivering healthcare services to the last mile. He too extended his best wishes to Mr. Mhaskey on his new responsibility.Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also addressed the gathering, sharing insights into CGMSC\u2019s operations, the department\u2019s schemes, initiatives, and achievements.Present on the occasion were MLAs Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Kiran Dev, Shri Amar Agrawal, Shri Sunil Soni, Shri Rohit Sahu, Shri Indra Kumar Saw; Mayor Smt.
